Come and see CarVue at Automechanika in June this year and see for yourself the benefits of running your garage in the cloud.

Automechanika Birmingham is set to become the largest automotive show ever to be held in the UK, and German firm Messe Frankfurt’s largest debut show outside out of Germany.

Joining over 550 other exhibitors at the NEC this June was an easy decision for us to make. Talking and interacting with users is part of the fabric of CarVue and we are extremely proud of our responsive and personal support team and our customer-driven development roadmap. The opportunity to get some more feedback on the application from the expected 10,000 strong crowd over 3 days was not to be passed up.

If you come and visit our stand (11H12) at the NEC show (sign up for a free pass here) you’ll be able to get a demonstration from one of our team and experience how you could be saving their garage time and money by switching to a modern, flexible way of working in the cloud.

CarVue manages every area of a garage’s daily activities, from taking customer bookings and creating job cards through to invoicing and reporting. With no software to install or download, and no expensive dedicated computers to buy and support, CarVue will run in a web browser on any internet connected device.

Save time

In our recent research, we found that cutting down on the use of separate systems, and using one, central application for all business functions can rapidly save garages on average one hour a day in administration.

So good news all round for business; less admin to do means more time fixing cars, and more revenue in their pockets (£1,575 per month in labour sales alone based on one extra hour per day at the UK’s average labour rate of £63!).

Save money too…

Garages can also discover how a move to the cloud could save them more than just time, with economic benefits on top.

Pricing is on a monthly pay-as-you-go basis; removing the upfront and sometimes long-term investments in IT systems, support and upgrades that come with software-based garage management systems.

We found that garages could reasonably expect to save over 90% of the management system costs by switching to the cloud.

Our all-in-one monthly cost removes any surprises when it comes to budgeting, with no hidden charges for extra services like text messages, emails and vehicle look-ups, while the monthly cost is dependent on usage; a fair way of charging garages.

Grows as you grow

CarVue has been designed to allow businesses to grow freely, with licences covering garage rooftops and not users. Garage owners signing up to the app know from the start that as they grow and employ more people, they won’t have the additional cost and hassle of getting new user licences each time someone new starts.

There are also no training costs to consider; the easy-to-learn application is supported by an extensive online knowledgebase, video guides, customer forum and a support team available via online chat all rolled into the monthly price.

Feel the benefit of cloud software

Cloud applications have revolutionised software packages for many industries over the past few years, so we think it was about time that the motor industry got to feel the benefits.

Explains Alex Knight, CarVue’s Marketing Director, “Cloud services like CarVue are easy to get started and free to try out. They offer fantastic peace-of-mind for garage owners as providers like us take care of the IT burden, with garage’s important vehicle, customer and financial information backed up every few minutes in a super secure environment.”

“Some of the biggest benefits garages can feel, however, result from a more flexible way of working. CarVue allows everyone to see the same customer or job information and carry out the same actions from a computer, phone, tablet or even a diagnostic machine. This ease of use encourages greater communication, information sharing and visibility and can lead to workshops performing much more transparently and efficiently. The ability to take a booking while sat on your sofa one evening, or send a text to a customer and see their reply on your job card can bring greater customer satisfaction and retention levels and, importantly, profits for garages. That’s got to be an exciting prospect hasn’t it?”
